Citiwide was founded in 1995 by Brian Weil
in the basement of La Resurrección United
Methodist Church. A renowned photographer of the
impact of the AIDS epidemic, Weil and volunteers
met on Saturday nights and distributed clean
syringes and other prevention materials.
