among injecting drug users, and for Bronx residents in New York City.

CitiWide's supportive services staff has teamed up with Montefiore Medical Center's
medical providers to offer drop-in appointments at CitiWide's center and home-based
care in participants' rooms at SRO hotels.
The CitiWide-Montefiore team demonstrates the effectiveness of a harm reduction model
of medical care by offering health services designed to support this community in
establishing trusting and effective relationships with their primary care providers.

Results: In 2005, over 4,500 medical visits were provided at the CitiWide drop-in center
and 1,000 were conducted in SRO hotels.
